Water and baptism
Water as an image of cleansing and new beginning in the Christian tradition.
Water carries a strong, positive charge in the Christian tradition: cleansing, baptism, and the start of something new.
A dream of clear water, washing or immersion is therefore often read gently and hopefully within this tradition, even where the image itself feels unsettled.
Storm water is another matter. That is connected with trial, and with the question of whether you trust that you are carried.
