Dreaming of an airplane in wicca: meaning
In wicca everything that flies belongs to the element of air: thoughts, communication, new ideas and overview. An airplane is a modern image of air in that sense: you rise above the ordinary and see the whole. Crashing is read as thoughts running away with you and calling for grounding.
Within this tradition
Many wiccans work with the four elements, earth, air, fire and water, which together with spirit form the five-pointed star. Air stands in the east and belongs to morning, spring, the intellect and the word. It is the element of new beginnings and clear thoughts. A dream about an airplane is therefore often read as an air dream: a dream about your thinking, your plans and your view of the whole.
A plane taking off and flying calmly above the clouds can be read as clarity and overview: you see your situation from a distance. Turbulence then points to restless thoughts, and missing a flight to ideas you do not dare carry out.
A plane crashing is read as an imbalance between air and earth: too much in your head, too little on the ground. After such a dream many practitioners take time for grounding, for example by walking, doing something with their hands or a short meditation with attention to the feet.
Wicca has no central doctrine; readings differ per tradition and per person. The elements are a language for looking at your dream, not a fixed interpretation.
