Dreaming of a house in wicca: meaning

Within this tradition

The house is among the richest images in this tradition, because it orders itself. The cellar is connected with the unconscious and with shadow work, the attic with memory and with what you keep. The kitchen with nourishment and transformation, the bedroom with intimacy and rest, the bathroom with cleansing and release.

A dream about a house is therefore almost always about how you stand inwardly, and which room asks for attention.

Discovering unknown rooms is among the most common and most positively read variants: there is more in you than you have in use.

A crumbling house is read not as disaster but as a question about maintenance: what have you let slide? And within the wheel of the year the house becomes a recurring image around Samhain and the dark months, when the tradition turns inward.

The heart of the house in many pagan traditions is the hearth. The Greek goddess Hestia and the Roman Vesta were goddesses of the hearth fire, and Brigid too is connected with the household fire. Many wiccans regularly cleanse and bless their home, for example with salt, water or smoke, and set protective symbols by the door. A dream about the kitchen or the fire in the house can in that light be about what keeps your home warm, and a dream about a door or threshold about what you let in.
