Agwe
The lwa of the sea, ships and those who cross the sea.
Agwe is in Haitian Vodou the lwa of the sea, of ships, fishermen and everyone who crosses the sea. He is depicted as a naval officer, and his ship is called Imamou. Ceremonies for Agwe sometimes take place on the water. His wife is often called La Sirène, the mermaid.
According to practitioners Agwe is recognised in dreams by the sea, ships or a journey over water.
