Dreaming of being naked in wicca: meaning

Within this tradition

In the older Wiccan traditions, such as the Gardnerian, some rituals are performed skyclad: literally clad in the sky, so naked. The Charge of the Goddess, a central text in many Wiccan circles, describes being naked in the rites as a sign that you are truly free. Not every practitioner works this way, but the idea that nakedness stands for authenticity and equality is widely shared.

In that light a dream in which you are naked without shame is read as an image of freedom: you no longer need to hide anything, play a role, or be someone you are not. Such a dream often comes in periods when you dare to be more yourself.

If there is shame, the dream becomes a way into shadow work. What do you not want to show, and from whom did you learn that it had to be hidden? Often it is about a part of yourself you once tucked away because it was not allowed.

The place in the dream counts. Naked in nature is often read as a return to something original. Naked in a crowded place is more about the relationship between your inner and your social self. Record the dream with the moon phase in your dream journal and see whether the image returns.
