Dreaming of arguing in the Bible: meaning
Jesus says that whoever brings an offering and remembers that someone has something against them must first go and be reconciled. And Paul writes: do not let the sun go down on your anger. An argument dream is therefore often read in the Christian tradition as an invitation to peace.
Within this tradition
In the Sermon on the Mount Jesus says something striking: if you are standing at the altar and remember that your brother has something against you, leave your gift there, go to him first and be reconciled. In those words reconciliation even comes before worship. Someone who dreams of an argument not yet settled can read the dream in that light.
Paul writes to the Ephesians: be angry, but do not sin, and do not let the sun go down on your anger. Anger itself is not forbidden; it is about what you do with it. An argument dream flaring up at night can be a sign that something was left lying during the day.
The Bible also knows arguments that are not resolved at once. Jacob and Esau live apart for years, until Esau runs to meet him and embraces him. That story gives hope to someone dreaming of an old rift: reconciliation can come late, and sometimes from the side you least expect.
As always, the tradition tests a dream against prayer, Scripture and people you trust. An argument dream does not predict an argument, but can help to see where peace is needed.
