Dreaming of being chased in Hinduism: meaning
Hindu stories tell of being pursued and of protection: young Markandeya, who held on to Shiva when he was pursued, and Shiva himself, chased by the demon Bhasmasura until Vishnu stepped in. A dream of being chased is read in that light as fear that wants to be faced, and as a question of where you find refuge.
Within this tradition
Being chased is one of the most common dreams there is, and Hindu stories offer two images that help read it. The first is Markandeya. In the well-known story he was a young devotee of Shiva whose life was said to be short. When his time came he embraced the Shiva lingam and would not let go. Shiva appeared and drove back what was pursuing him, and Markandeya lived on. The story is not about predicting anything; it is about refuge: holding on to what you trust when something comes after you.
The second is Bhasmasura. He received a boon to turn to ash anyone whose head he touched, and promptly turned on Shiva, who had granted it. Shiva fled, and it was Vishnu, in the form of the enchantress Mohini, who tricked Bhasmasura into touching his own head. Even a god can be chased by a power he set loose himself, and the way out came through cleverness and help, not through running faster.
In that light a chase dream is read as something that wants your attention: a fear, a pressure or a consequence you would rather not face. The tradition also knows Hanuman as the great protector against fear; many Hindus know the Hanuman Chalisa, which says that troubling spirits do not come near where his name is spoken. That is a description of devotion, not a remedy Dreamkin prescribes.
Who chases you, and whether you turn around, matter more than the chase itself. The tradition, as Dreamkin describes it, does not read such a dream as an omen.

Recalls Markandeya holding on to Shiva: the search for refuge, for what you trust.
Being chased by something you started yourself
Recalls Bhasmasura chasing Shiva: a consequence of your own choices that asks for a clever way out.
Turning around to face the pursuer

What does being chased in a dream mean in Hinduism?
Usually a fear or pressure that wants attention, read through stories such as Markandeya and Bhasmasura. The questions are who chases you and where you find refuge.
Is a chase dream an evil spirit in Hinduism?
Some people read it that way, but Dreamkin does not state that as fact. Most readings look first at what in your life feels like it is coming after you.
