Dreaming of blood in Winti: meaning
Blood is taken seriously in Winti dreams. Practitioners mention some images with blood, such as a dead chicken with blood, as a possible sign that someone is working against you. Dreamkin never states that as fact: only a luku can confirm it.
Within this tradition
In practitioners' answers blood is often read together with what else happens in the dream. A dead chicken with blood is an image mentioned several times, and within the tradition it is read in the direction of wisi: harm someone sends you. The advice is then a luku, to see whether that is so, and afterwards a cleansing.
That is a heavy reading, which is why caution matters. In Winti wisi is never established on the basis of one dream. A luku with someone you trust can confirm or refute what is going on. Many dreams with blood turn out to be about something quite different: tension, grief, or the body itself.
Blood when losing a tooth is seen in Winti as the image with the most urgency among teeth dreams: a call for protection and for inquiry within the family. There too it is about attention and care, not about a prediction.
And in Winti blood also belongs to life itself. A dream in which you bleed without fear, or see blood at a birth, need not be a threat. How you felt and what else happened say more than the blood alone. When in doubt, or with lasting unease, a luku is the usual step.
